Roles and Responsibilities :
Co-ordination with the concerned department
Planning :
** Dispatch plan of actual sales & dispatch.
** Actively involved in preparation of sales, production plan.
** Sales target, marketing strategies & contract of transportation.
Controlling :
** Looking after the logistics operations and the dispatch planning activities for streamlining operations
** Heading & supervising a team of 22 personnel including Supervisor / Executive, Assistant Manager & Deputy Manager
** Handling
** Entire transportation activities of outbound & inbound of steel coils
** Overall the dispatch, schedule and track of delivery vehicles
** Organizing approx. 4500 vehicles per month for meeting with outbound & inbound shipment
** Resolving concerns related to vehicle availability, local people & labour problem, loading & unloading at site, any freight related issue, accident / damage issue and documentation matter
** Interacting with Plant Head, Marketing & PPC Department for sooth function of logistics activities
Carrying out :
** Competitor analysis of transportation cost through market intelligence.
** Stock analysis & inventory control and submitting inventory report to the management on weekly basis
** Designing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) as per the standard and service quality required.
** Authorized for all commercial documents ( invoice, waybill, MTC, etc) related to outbound transportation
** Generating monthly performance assessment of the vendors based on various criterions like percentage for timely delivery, quality delivery rate, damage, vehicle availability, etc.
and submitting the same to the management
** Preparing & submitting MIS report on daily, weekly & monthly basis to management
** Managing planning for materials from vendors for achievement of targets within specified parameters and meeting organizational objectives
** Maintaining and conducting regular audit for stock of materials
Ensures :
** Route planning for all the orders pertaining to all products to ensure freight optimization
** Trucks/trailers are available on time for delivery as well as lifting from Tata Steel stockyard.
Reporting :
** MIS reporting on monthly basis, analysis of daily sales, dispatches, outstanding, finish stock, production report.
** Daily reporting for G.M logistics and V.P commercial.
** And monthly reporting M.D.
Active Participation :
** Active core team member (SAPSD) for implementing SAP in our organization.
