Job Profile :
Direct dealing with Importers and Stores. Made several overseas trips to America and the Far East to liaise with existing importers and stores as well as to source new buyers. Also attended several Trade Show to source potential buyers.
Establishing good contacts and rapport with several reliable fabric suppliers in China, Taiwan, Korea and Thailand for all types of fabric sourcing, development and bulk production.
Currently working with a buying agent and doing a lot of garment production from Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, China, Thailand, Srilanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan including several duty free countries like Egypt, Kenya and Lesotho.
Maintaining a stringent control team of merchandisers through out the whole process, right from costing, garment sampling, order confirmations, time and action calendars of fabric sourcing, sales and production samples, production planning with detailed planning on fabric inspection, cutting, application process if any, sewing and packing till final production.
Keeping a tight control on quality adhering to the AQL standard approved by the buyer. Also monitoring all their inspection findings and reports to ensure compliance to buyer’s requirements. Closely monitoring the order and liaising with concerned personnel from enquiry to shipment and payment stage ensuring customer satisfaction and nil shipment claims.
Working closely with the administration and accounts department to ensure that they are clear on all L/C’s opened and that all documentation is properly controlled.
Ensuring all work is carried out with team effort and coordination by conducting regular meetings where the sampling, production, merchandising teams work in unison to make the final garment delivery on time without glitches.
