WORK EXPERIENCE :

Work Profile :
Handling the Team of Senior Engineer & Engineers for the Piping Fabrication, Erection, Painting and Insulation jobs.
Fabrication, Erection, Painting and Insulation of various Structure, process, utility and flare and underground pipe lines.
Preparation of bill of material and coordinating with different department for the availability of material.
Erection of Rotary Equipment.
Handling the various contractors and providing the solution to their technical problems
Co-ordination with various department such as Stores, Planning as well as client for the smooth execution of project.
Preparation of daily progress sheet and its reporting to higher authority and to client for their monitoring.
Preparation of the sub contractor bill.
Loop clearance ,Hydro Testing of process piping.
Ensure the compliance of safety work methodology proper use of scaffolding and PPE, pep talk, one to one communication etc.
Construction of rack and unit piping which includes fabrication, erection, supporting, alignment and piping related structural jobs.( Rack piping and equipment piping, from ½”dia to 102”dia).
Major Job Responsibilities :
To study the technical aspects of the entire enquiry for Piping Fabrication, Erection, Painting and Insulation jobs.
Prepare bill of material.
Technical evaluation of the entire enquiry received.
Surface preparation for Painting and Insulation.
Study technical requirements in detail before preparation of quotation.
Monitor technical requirements on receipt of order.
Coordination within and outside agencies including client, inspection and sub vendor.
Participate in preparation of quotation w.r.t technical requirements.
Coordinate with operations Manager on Clients technical requirements.
Paint and Insulation material, Selection of Paint Systems, Application of Paint and Insulation material and Inspection of the same
Finish coat colour and colour coding, Lagging and Cladding
Safety measures to be taken while Painting and Insulation
Surface Preparation, Profile Checking, Coating application and Coating Inspection

Since September 2002 till October 2006 :
Working with S.S.K. Engineering Works since September 2002 till December 2005 as a Workshop Engineer. S.S.K. Engineering Works carries out machinery and hull repairs on SCI vessels and specializes in piping, boiler works and steel repairs.
Nature of the Works handled :
Repairing and overhauling of pumps, valves, heat exchangers.
Fabrication of piping system using jigs or as per drawings, such as generator cooling lines, sewage plant lines, sanitary lines, compressed air lines. Also their testing at respective test pressures.
Fully conversant with Steel renewal work of any kind onboard the vessels. Working knowledge of plating work of shell side, deck and bulkhead on ships.
Fabrication of pump and compressor beds, tanks with class inspection.
Allotment of man power for particular task and get work done within the target period.
To efficiently co-ordinate material planning for scheduled jobs.
Handling the Class inspections onboard the vessels.
I have been to Colombo Dockyard Limited, SRI LANKA for piping and steel plating of Floating Dock Navy – 01, a Indian Navy Ship & other SCI Tankers for a period of one year.
