RESEARCH EXPERIENCE :
Research Assistant December 2013– April 2014 :
Osmania University, Hyderabad, India
Worked on “Evaluation of Antibacterial activity in Bamboo fibers, yarns and fabrics”
Assessed the Antibacterial activity of bamboo materials with zinc oxide on finished cotton fabric and it was found that natural bamboo fiber, yarn and fabric inherently have antibacterial and UV resistant properties, the physical are better compared to cotton
Research Assistant December 2013– April 2014 :
Osmania University, Hyderabad, India
Worked on “Studies on the properties of composite spunlaced nonwoven fabric”
Assessed the performance of the spunlaced nonwoven fabric for its absorbency and it was found bamboo spunlace nonwoven fabric has excellent absorbency and comfort properties than other fabrics and babmmo/viscose/cotton composite spunlace fabric has highest water absorbency
Research Assistant December 2012– April 2013 :
Osmania University, Hyderabad, India
Worked on “Effect of potassium permanganate finish on the properties of Denim fabric”
Assessed the performance of the finishes on the denim fabric properties
Used potassium permanganate finish to improve the comfort properties
Research Assistant January 2011– June 2011 :
Dr.B.R.Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar, India
Worked on “Studies on the properties of Nonwoven Surgical gowns” under the guidance of Dr. Vinay Midha
Spunmelt and Spunbond fabrics and Antibacterial, Water repellent finishes were used for the study
Assessed the performance of the finishes on the fabric properties. It was observed that SMS fabric offers highest liquid barrier and antibacterial properties as per AMMI classification and has lowest comfort properties
Research Assistant January 2010 – April 2010 :
Dr.B.R.Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar, India
Worked on “Evaluation of seam performance before and after wet processing” under the guidance of Dr.A.Mukopadhyay
Assessed the performance of seam of grey, desized, scoured fabric. It was found that the decrease in seam strength of the processed material irrespective seam density
Research Assistant August 2007 – April 2008 :
Osmania University, Hyderabad, India
Worked on “Imparting Flame Retardant Finish to a Cotton fabric” under the guidance of M.Mastan Malotu
Pekoflam™ permanent and temporary products are used to impart Flame retardant finish. It was observed that the flammability of the treated fabric was improved
Research Intern May 2006 –June 2006 :
Indu Spinning Mills, Mahaboob Nagar Andhra Pradesh
