Functional Profile :
Preventive maintenance in Reheating furnace,( 2 * 300 MT/HR ) Roughing Mill, Finishing mill (with six stand), Down coiler and EOT Cranes (35 to 100 t) .
Improving the maintenance procedures in order reduce down time.
Maintaining and monitoring the Mill Equipments and Hydraulic System, (Vickers, Moog & Rexroth) Pneumatic and Water Systems.
Planning and effecting preventive maintenance schedules of various network elements to increase network up time and equipment reliability.
Identifying areas of obstruction/ bottlenecks and taking steps to rectify the equipments through application of trouble shooting tools.
Executing cost saving and energy saving techniques/ measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in O&M Expenditures and to increase operational profit.

1) All Mechanical equipments are segregated in three groups, i.e, Super critical, Critical and Non critical.
2) Vibration Analysis of super critical equipments like Pinion stands, Gear boxes, including compressors.
3) Conditioning monitoring activity incorporated with SAP system.
4) Doing Root Cause Analysis within 5 days of occurring.
Quality Control/ Assurance :
Identifying areas of quality failures and taking steps to rectify the system.
Practicing quality standards with key emphasis on improving quality.
