Project Details :
M.TECH :
Title : Design and Development of FPGA based Modules for Radar Systems
S/W Platform : VHDL
H/W Platform : Virtex, Virtex 5
SYNOPSIS : The project was based on ECCM technique.
A radar processor decides the frequency of transmission by analyzing the jamming errors and sends this information to the transmitter section in terms of messages. The aim of the project was the design and development of high speed interface for feeding the message with the extraction of required fields using FPGAs. The interface for feeding the messages are developed using Aurora protocol of Xilinx which supports high speed data communication up to gigabytes. Based on the messages received, the respective fields are extracted to give the required signals for the generation of various frequencies. This project also aims in the development of FPGA based module for the extraction of frequency field from the message. In this module the mode of operation of radar is also identified. The frequencies are identified depending upon the operational modes.
B.E. :
Title : Texture Analysis & Classification using Wavelet Transform.
S/W Platform : Matlab & C
SYNOPSIS : The main idea of the project was to analyze and classify the textures whose dominant frequencies are located in the middle frequencies channels, using treestructured wavelet transform also called wavelet packet. The method based on multichannel or multiresolution analysis outperforms the traditional methods.
