DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES EXECUTED :-
Admission of patients.
Assessment and monitoring vital signs and other routine activities of the unit.
Making early nursing diagnosis and care plan to prevent further complications
Implementation of nursing care plan.
Helping in reducing mortality rate of patients with acute myocardial infraction, poisoning, head injury by giving prompt treatment under expert guidance.
Assisting with various life saving procedure like cardio pulmonary resuscitation, intubations, cardio version, defibrillation, suctioning (oral, tracheostomy and endotracheal tube), CVP and Arterial line insertion, pressure monitoring and care, temporary and permanent pacing, chest tube insertion and care, gastric lavage, N.G.Tube insertion,T.P.N, ABG Sample collection and assessment and other investigations(Blood, Urine, Sputum ,Stool etc).
Care of patient on ventilator support, recognisiation of trouble shoot and its correction.
Assists the interventional cardiologist in both diagnostic and therapeutic coronary, pheripheral interventions.
Recognisition of arrhythmias and its correction.
Preparing the unit for emergency CPR and other life saving procedures.
Taking care of patients with arrhythmias and its corrections.
Care of patients during and after blood transfusion.
To check the emergency equipment kept near the patient, their safety and working order.
To provide safe and comfortable environment for the patients
