The project involves preassembly, erection, alignment, testing and commissioning of boiler steel structure, pressure parts, piping, air pre heaters, rotary parts & ducting for 3 units of 660 MW thermal power plant.
Role :
Analyzed & interpreted drawings, detected errors and clarified the same with the designers
Carried out technical discussions and updated clients with the project’s proceedings
Provided technical answers to Engineering Queries raised up by the sub-contractor confirming design drawings and standard requirements

Example :
reheater stage-2 coils consists of 256 individual coils hence 256 lift and 2000 welding joints at an elevation of 98.5 meters I suggested to make it blocks of 32 coils in each block by welding the inlet end of the coils to its common headers, by doing this 256 no of lifts was reduced to 8 no’s and 1000 welding joints are completed at the ground level. A special lifting arrangement was prepared for these with the help of design department.
Significantly involved in preparing the erection scheme for pressure parts by employing winches and rearranging the sequence accordingly, instead of EOT crane as proposed by the client
Efficiently prepared and presented a 3D model of the boiler on AutoCAD during Central Power Ministers site visit which was appreciated by the clients
Prepared a PowerPoint presentation visualizing the water steam flow of boiler with all connection details
Prepared a block drawing showing all major equipment inside the pent house with details of no of lift, unit weight, and position. The daily progress was directly highlighted on it. This was very simple and helpful to understand the daily progress to everyone.

Reduce additional cost and wastage of time by minimizing reworks by providing correct instructions and information’s to the technicians in proper time and giving additional attention to critical jobs.
After box up providing approach for welding lower panels inside the furnace was very difficult for that I have designed a new temporary arrangement using angles and channels, which was directly attached to panel at the ground level before lifting.
This arrangement was very economical, safer, and easily detachable.
A lot of nonproductive man power and working hours was saved by finishing maximum attachment works at the ground level before lifting there by reducing the risk factor of height work, more quality works at ground level, les cost, les time consuming
