Project Title : FE Modeling and Analysis of Residual Stress in Arc Welding
Description : A numerical study of the effect of welding speed on welding induced residual stress was treated in TIG welding. The moving heat source was modelled as a Uniformly Distributed Circular Heat Flux in ANSYS Workbench 15.0 to get the longitudinal and transverse residual stresses which were validated with the experimental data in terms of shape and nature from the literature. The obtained residual stress results was optimized using response optimizer.
B.Tech Project :
Project Title : Time Study Analysis on 36 inch Recoat Calendar at Apollo Tyres Ltd Kalamassery, Kochi
Description : Done on the basis of work measurement by taking the time of various tyre components required to manufacture. On meeting the daily requirements of it that is produced by this machine, a time study analysis was prepared by comparing the standard time of the production of it. For increasing the productivity, reduced the cycle time of each tyre components on the data analysis and gave suggestions to the manufacturing process.

** Guided two B.Tech final year projects and published a journal paper from one of the work titled “Design and Fabrication of Activated Carbon Manufacturing Machine and Experimental Investigation of Saw Dust Activated Carbon” at IRJET Vol 5, Issue 5 on May 2018.
** Conducted one day training programme on FEA using Ansys Workbench at Ammini College of Engineering for the faculties and students.
** Participated in the One-Day Faculty Development Program on Design Projects conducted by A.P.J.
Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) at Government Engineering College Kannur.
