Euro flex is a Company in Rexnord Corporation, Specializing in the field of design, manufacture and marketing of High performance Flexible Disc couplings for applications like Gas Turbines, Steam turbines, Turbo compressors, Boiler Feed Pumps, Marine Propulsion, Tests Beds etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
** My role includes Design and development of components from concept stage to production stage.
** Based on the specifications received from the customer like Torque, power, DBSE etc.
** Creating forgings drawings, detailing using AutoCAD, Customer specific Installation drawings & assemblies as per design standard.
** Apply GD&T using ASME Y14.5 1994 standards & Tolerance stacking.
** Design Proposals for the components, so as to optimize the weight with no compromise on the functionality & rigidity.
** Interaction with the vendors & suppliers for coupling forgings.
** Involved in Design & Manufacturing of components for Industrial Applications.
** Participate and contribute in process and Functional capability improvements.
** RegularInteraction with Tool Room operators while in-house components development.

Coupling Design Overview :
** Design of High performance Flexible Disc Coupling based on minimum size & Mass for a given Torque requirements.
** The purpose of a flexible coupling is to accept misalignment between the Shafts of the connected machines.
** There are two specific principles by which Couplings are designed to their extremely high level of reliability.
** Disc Profile & Bolting.
** Designed for the following advantages to suit High Torque transmission, Misalignment capability, Good Dynamic balance, Extreme Temperature & hostile environment operations etc,.
** Compliance of International standards includes API 671 and ISO 10441 which are Special-Purpose Couplings for Petroleum, Chemical, and Gas Industry Services.
** Couplings operating at speeds in excess of 3,800 r/min shall meet the requirements of ISO 10441 or API 671 for component balancing and assembly balance check.
