Projects Undertaken :
** “Active wears Design Project”
This project involved the entire process from Mood board development, Color Board, Fabric Sourcing, Swatch Development, Design Development and Final Presentation.
** “Women’s Wears Design Project”
The project had several elements such as client selection, fabric sourcing, swatch development, design development, draping, pattern making, construction of muslin fit, construction of actual garment and final presentation.
** “Creative Pattern Making Project”
This module involved innovation in terms of creative silhouettes and elements of design using the basic techniques of pattern making.
** “Tie and dye Project”
Here we learnt and applied the various techniques of dying fabrics with Bandhani, Leheria, Batik, Screen Printing, Block Printing, Resist Dying, etc.
** “Costume designing for Hotel Arora Towers-Pune”
This project involved costume designing for employees of Hotel Arora Towers, Pune.
** “Traditional Indian Embroideries”
The project entailed a study of the different types of embroideries and surface ornamentations that are famous and prominent in India, and the techniques behind each. In depth study was carried out on Kantha (Bengal), Chikan Kari ( Lucknow), Zardozi (UP), Kashida (Kashmir), Kasuti ( Karnataka), Chinai (Parsi origin), etc.
** “Fashion Show”
This project involved several elements from theme selection to actual stitching of garments and brought them to stage as a final collection.
Academic Achievements :
**Participated in fashion show “SYNERGY 2008”, at Taj & bagged the “BEST INNOVATIVE AND ORNAMENTED COLLECTION” and got the sponsorship for the full collection.
**Participated in Liebe (Men’s Wear brand) launch at JW Marriot, Mumbai on 7th April, 2008 as a designer for Liebe..
