Drum Brake Shoe
Client name : Andal Alagar Engg. College Mamandur.
In the drum brake assembly, the lever behind the shoe is not visible which restricts the access to cable terminal. This problem is solved by updating the brake shoe design with a location cut-out in the brake shoe. The updated models and its respective detailing are prepared.
Software Used : PRO-E Solid Modeling and Detailing.
Drum Brake with Interconnected Shoes
Client name : Lord Venkateswara Engg. College, Walajabad.
The shoe mechanism assembly is studied and updated to overcome the mechanical fade problem in the drum brake. For this sake, a new type of drum brake is developed with a set of interconnected shoes [with multiple degrees of freedom]which issues uniform pressure distribution over the friction surface between drum and linings.
Software Used : PRO-E - Solid Modeling and Detailing.
