Projects Handled :
1.DEBLOCKING FILTER FOR H.264 VIDEO CODEC :
** One of the main reasons behind the superior efficiency of the H.264/AVC video coding standard is the use of an in loop deblocking filter. Since the deblocking filter is computation and data intensive, it has a profound impact on the speed degradation of both encoding and decoding processes.
** Most video coding techniques employ block-based prediction, transformation, and quantization for encoding. The use of these block-based tools, however, decreases inter-block correlation in video frames and adds visible blocking structures to the reconstructed frame, i.e.
blocking artifacts.
** The newest video coding standard, H.264/AVC , uses an in-loop adaptive filter to eliminate the blocking artifacts.

2. LUT Optimization For Memory Based Computations Using Combined APC -OMS Technique :
As technology improves day by day wide and vast, we were expecting to get the things in the reduced size.
Multiplication is major arithmetic operation in signal processing. In ALU’s the multiplier uses lookup-table (LUT) as memory for their computations and it consume much hardware area.
To reduce the size of the LUT, we present the anti symmetric product coding (APC) and odd multiple- storage (OMS) techniques for lookup-table (LUT) design for memory-based multipliers to be used in digital signal processing applications.
Each of thesetechniques results in the reduction of the LUT size by a factor of two.
A different form of APC anda modified OMS scheme, in order to combine them for efficient memory-based multiplication. The proposed combined approach provides a reduction in LUT size to one-fourth of the conventional LUT.
