Secured ATM Transaction System :
In this project, an attempt was made to add another security level in an ATM transaction in view of recent increase in ATM thefts. Idea was to involve customer’s registered mobile number in an ATM transaction. A combination circuit was developed using scanner, computer, microcontroller and GSM module to represent an ATM system. Objective of this project was to take consent of the owner for ATM transaction by sending an SMS on his registered mobile number. If owner reply “YES” then message is sent back to microcontroller and transaction can be proceed further. If ATM card is stolen and being used by the thief or an unauthorized person for withdrawing money or any other transaction at retail outlet, “NO” reply from the owner’s mobile number will alert the security guard at ATM or counter attendant at retail shop for taking further action. Thief can even be caught inside the ATM room by automatic locking the ATM door. ATM display screen was developed using visual basic application in computer.
BE Mini Project - 6th Semester :
Sunset Lamp :
It is often seen at many places that street lights are kept ON in bright day light wasting precious electricity.
As a responsible citizen, we can contribute a great in electricity saving by proper use of electrical appliances and turning them OFF when those are not required. Objective of this project was to make public street lamps operation automatic. In this project a circuit was prepared to turn ON/OFF a lamp e.g. a street lamp using a sensor. Sensor was used to sense the sunlight and accordingly sends a signal to turn ON/OFF the lamp.
Extracurricular projects :
Participated in the development of twelve (12) various projects on robotics and industrial automation apart from curricular projects with different teams.
