ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Project Name : - Centralized Processing Center
Project Description : - Centralized Processing Center is a body of Income Tax Department of India which enables centralized processing of all E-filed Income Tax Returns (ITR). This project is outsourced by the Income tax department to Infosys for processing of the income tax return. For automated processing of the return the provisions of Income Tax Act are converted into machine readable language known as processing/business rules.

Key Assignment/ Responsibilities :
** Suggesting changes in the ITR forms and other Forms for every Assessment Year and getting the same notified by CBDT.
** Implementing Finance act changes for every assessment year in the production environment to ensure correct processing of Income tax return.
** Analysis of the financial statements.
** Variance analysis for P&L and business related indicators
** Preparation of financial statement and MIS
** Collecting requirements from Client (ITD) with respect to Business Rules on Income tax return processing, preparing the requirement document, testing the same in dummy environment and implementing in production within the timelines defined as per SLA
** Resolving the grievances received from tax payers with respect to processing of the return u/s 143(1) or 154 & Providing responses to the queries raised by the Big4s or ICAI or other institutes regarding the processing of the returns
** Conducting weekly meeting with the clients to update about the progress on the requirements shared by client
** Coordinating with E-filing team to ensure speedy processing of the returns
** Monitoring the development of new business engine known as ITBA (Income Tax Business Application) for processing of all assessment under Income Tax act
